Baby Massage Class

Join Jessica Sirias, LMFT, local Bay Area mom, mental health therapist, infant mental health specialist, certified infant massage instructor, and founder of Nurture and Bloom for a special 2 hour experiential workshop (breaks included throughout the class) focused on strengthening the bond between you and your little one through infant massage.

This workshop will help you feel confident in identifying and understanding your baby's cues and supporting parent-child attachment that will have lifelong benefits to your child's overall well-being through the modality of massage.

You will learn:

  • What attachment is and the importance of creating a secure attachment with your baby

  • How to support parent-child attachment using infant massage

  • How to identify you baby's non-verbal cues and when they are engaged and disengaged with you in real time

  • Benefits of infant massage

  • Full body infant massage strokes including strokes to support sleep, nervous system, sensory integration and ease colic, digestion, tension from birth, and vaccination site soreness

  • How to integrate infant massage into your daily routine

Materials needed: Please bring a baby blanket to lie your baby down. If you'd like your baby to have additional support, you can also bring two adult bed size pillows. Massage oil and massage stroke visuals will be provided for you to keep.

FOR WHO: Registration is for two caregivers and your baby. This is a baby-led class so feeding, changing, and or soothing your baby is welcome and encouraged! Ideal for babies, birth to pre-crawling.

WHEN: Saturday, October 25 at 11 am-1 pm

Additional information: We will not be massaging our babies for 2 hours! This class is designed with you in mind, whether you arrive late, you need to take a break, or your baby ends up sleeping. We have all been there! Feeding, changing, and or soothing your baby is welcome and encouraged!
