Classes

Childbirth Education

(Coming soon)

Preparation for labor & birth taught by East Bay birth educators. New sessions added throughout the year.

Preparing for baby: Lactation, new born care & postpartum preparation

A hands-on class covering newborn care basics and getting feeding off to a strong start, for expecting parents in the weeks before baby arrives while creating a community to walk through this journey to new parenthood.

What you learn:

  • How breastfeeding and chestfeeding actually works — and how to set yourself up for success before birth
  • What the first days and nights of feeding look like, hour by hour
  • How to care for your newborn: diapering, soothing, sleep, babywearing, and what’s normal
  • How to heal and nourish your own body after birth
  • What to expect emotionally — and how to build the support you’ll actually need
  • And the community of parents you’ll meet here, who will become familiar faces at postpartum groups once your babies arrive

Private Classes

Many providers offer private sessions or small-group classes tailored to your family. Reach out and we’ll help you find the right fit.

Support groups

Pregnancy, postpartum, and lactation support groups — community spaces to connect with other families in the same season.

Newborn lactation support group

A 6 week cohort based group to build community, ask questions about new parenthood, do weighted feeds and get feeding support in the newborn months, with a IBCLC & postpartum doula. Covered by most insurance or sliding scale.

  • Personalized feeding support each week from an IBCLC with 7 years of lactation consulting experience
  • Pre- and post-feed baby weights so you can track growth and milk transfer in real time
  • A safe, judgment-free space to ask the questions keeping you up at night (besides the baby)
  • Guidance on pumping, bottle feeding, feeding on the go, and getting more sleep
  • Space to process your birth experience and the intensity of those first weeks
  • Connection with parents at the exact same stage, building community that lasts well beyond the six weeks

Lactation support group for older babies

Support for feeding as your baby grows — starting solids, teething, sleep changes, going back to work and feeding on the go.

  • How to confidently feed your baby (breastfeeding, pumping, bottles)
  • What a realistic daily rhythm looks like when you’re working
  • How to manage sleep (for your baby— and yourself)
  • What to expect emotionally—and how to support yourself through it
  • And just as important—you’ll be surrounded by other moms in the exact same stage, figuring it out alongside you.
